This Sanskrit inscription on stone can be found now in the Assam State Museum. It probably dates back to the 6th century CE. inscription du Assam State Museum

This Sanskrit inscription is perhaps the the most ancient in Assam. It can be found along one of the paths that go up Nilachal Hill to Kamakhya temple. l’inscription de Nilachal

Other inscriptions are often more difficult to read, and difficult to date. This one is on the small Urvasi island, between Guwahati and Umananda
